heat, bugs, and deranged hockey moms

WOW!
is it hot!!!!
that is exclamation, not a question. As we are all already aware that it is hot.
[ Although most of the time a sentence begins with "is it...." it would be a question]
Anyway///// I took the kids ice skating on friday, then we went again on saturday.
but it was the weirdest thing, there were actually dead bugs on the ice!!!
I see a few flies, those giant flying ant things, and a moth or 2.
They were all in different spots lying around the ice. It is my hypothesis that they flew in to try to escape the brutal, searing heat outside. And then much like me when i eat ice cream, they did not know when to stop. They took in to much of the coolness, and froze their innards. [i love the word innards, i suppose it means anything inside something]
that is what i do with ice cream, except my innards do not freeze, they just expand, leading to an uncomfortable pair of pants.
on Saturdays at the rink, there is also hockey going on.
i learned that all hockey players smell really badly. I do not know if they can tell it or not, but if a group of them in their gear walk past you, be prepared for the eye watering, nasal cavity burning, effect of mustard gas. Those kids stunk!!! i still cannot get my eyes to focus correctly, and i think i lost my sense of smell forever.
How can these kids moms let them out in public smelling this way???
the smell may have also changed my opinion as to why all the bugs died, maybe their little lungs just could not handle the pollution of the hockey players.
Also while there i noticed 2 "hockey moms for Obama" bumper stickers.
How can someone who actually did not kill their child in the womb vote for that man?
Also if parents make enough money to let kids play hockey, Mr barack hussain obama would be someone who would be taking some of that money for your kids hockey, and give it to some people who sit around all day and live on government handouts.
maybe they have been hit in the head by to many pucks, or maybe just maybe, the toxic aromas given off by their hockey playing children has eaten away the part of their brain that is responsible for common sense thinking and rational thought.
now where's my ice cream? Even though i cannot seem to taste anything anymore.

the Ten Commandments, in America??????

The Ten Commandments; [ not the movie] but the top ten laws that God handed down to His chosen people from a mountainside. He gave these laws in a terrifying fashion! There was smoke, thunder, lightning, and trumpet blasts. The Bible says that the people "trembled with fear" and they asked Moses to basically be God's mailman. But Moses told them, "Do not be afraid, God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning."
I ask; Where has that fear gone?
lets take a look at the top ten
1 have no other gods before Me
2 do not make or worship any idols
3 do not misuse the name of God
4 remember the Sabbath and keep it holy
5 honor mom and dad
6 do not kill people
7 do not commit adultery
8 do not steal
9 do not lie
10 do not covet

Now i ask again where has our fear gone?
We live in a country where it is socially acceptable to break every single 1 of these commands.
the first 2, I think we are all guilty of breaking sometimes. BUT just because all of us do it, does not make it right.
Misusing Gods name.. I think we all have a way of doing that as well, Not by swearing, but by not living up to God's standards. if I claim to be a Christian, but am ashamed to tell people about it, or we live like everyone else, instead of separating ourselves from sin, Are we not misusing God?
And do we really set aside a WHOLE day for God??? i know i don't. i am lucky to set aside a couple of hours. I need to do better.
Honor parents, easily explained
Now for the next 5, is where I think our society is falling apart....
people are actually glamorized for breaking them.
abortion is acceptable to over 50% of the population according to polls,
over 50% of marriages end in divorce, most of the time several commands end up being broken during the process.
And i think almost all of our country has been caught up in the "they have it, I want it too" epidemic. Is that not coveting?
Let's just set aside the whole "if i follow after God, i go to heaven, if not i don't" for a second.
Anytime a person, then a group of people, and then the entire society starts breaking these commands, really bad things end up happening to them. Case in point, Sodom, Gomorrah, The Egyptian empire, Babylon, The Roman empire... All of these cities, or countries did not follow God, and where are they now? yes some are still around, but they are not the power they once were.
Is our country next???
sorry got to end kids are needing to be put in bed.
