random things that bother me.

While driving today, i realized how smug some cyclists can be.

I dont mean the average person out riding bikes with the family.

i mean the people who wear all weird, skin tight spandex. {there should be a law forbidding all men from wearing that tight of clothing, it is just wrong,] The areodynamic helmets, that make them look like they have ALIEN heads.

maybe these things enable them to ride faster, but i cannot see how it is worth it, to look that way, besides if i need to go fast that is why i have a car.

And somehow they are able to bend in half, while sitting on a bike seat the size of a banana!! How is that even possible???

The point is these people must think they are invincible. If i am driving by, and get to close to them, or my driving style does not meet their approval, they are glaring menacingly over their handle bars at me..

So i am following 1 of these guys, as he rides down the middle of the road, even tho there is a perfectly good shoulder to ride on, and a sidewalk. Anyway, he kept turning around and looking at us, not sure why, So i am finally able to pass him, and he yells out "share the road!"

Really? i mean i was sharing the road, i didnt run him over, even tho i think my car is faster than his bike, in about any race possible. Maybe if i see him again, i can drive slowly in front of him and ask him to "share the road"

but it could be worse, there is also the hairy,portly, fellow, that always rides around shirtless. To his credit, he doesnt ride down the middle of the road, but it is a disturbing sight. At first glance i thought a bike riding bear that had escaped from the circus.
